Before I was deployed to afg, I bought a locally built long block with forged internals for a price that was to good to be true. I got it running and it felt great, pulled amazing, I did an extra long 3000 mile light break in. I changed the oil for the 3rd or 4th time, put on my gt2560r turbos and the damn thing blew up the next day.... I was pulling up to a stop light and got rod knock. Did a little research and the local who built it as an idiot and didn't check tolarances. Anyways, I got a long block from ipp and couldn't be happier with his work, got all the bells and whistles. Got it to fire up a few days ago and you wouldn't believe how happy I was... But I'm having a hard time dialing out the issues, see here; [ http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1137250/new-motor-new-problems.html ] My z is so close but so far away from being done. I'm trying to buy a house right now so I'm on a bit of a time crunch, I'm trying to move in 2 weeks, but I'm taking a vacation until then to get this thing done. If anyone has any ideas let me know, any advice, comments, questions... You get the idea... I'm just burnt out from working so hard and seeing so many issues. New paint, new upgrades, lots of work I've done to make this my dream car, I'm just loosing steam at the end and need a kick in the tail, some kind of wisdom to inspire new ideas. I'm all ears. Let me know any advice you guys have, and if someone wants to be a d***, keep it to yourself please. I'm finally done with all my deployments overseas and now my wife is deployed(we're both active duty USMC), so all my time is spent in the garage, my patience is low, and my temper is short haha.
